There has been a massive amount of publicity this year surrounding generative AI. The launch of ChatGPT 4, together with other offerings such as Google’s Bard has resulted in a tsunami of material and news articles – both positive and negative.

Insurers have been identifying and testing various use cases for some time and many have invested large amounts in advanced analytics using new tools.

There is no doubt that the development and adoption of new technologies is accelerating and that Boards need to become familiar with the benefits and risks associated with them.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Presentations from BCG and DWF Law will enable forum delegates to to:

• describe the evolving landscape of AI and advanced analytics tools
• summarise the strategic implications for insurance
• articulate the potential benefits and risks
• identify likely regulatory implications and any changes required to existing governance and controls to make them fit for purpose

This iNED Forum is open to insurance Non-executive Directors (iNEDS), aspiring iNEDS, Company Secretaries, Compliance staff and all those involved with corporate governance, underwriting, broking and risk management in the insurance sector.

There is no requirement for delegates to be members of the Worshipful Company of Insurers.
